Choice #1

I took this picture on November 14, 2010 at 2:45ish. My camera was on auto. I was wondering around trying to find something to take a picture of.
(Just so I dont forget, it seems to look kind of blurry cause I cropped it later on.) The first thing I did was change the curves around. Then I brought the saturation up a lot. And then I used the clone stamp tool to get rid of the electric thing, some branches in the top left corner and a little bit of the grass in the bottom right corner. Then I used the quick selection tool to make a selection around the sky and brought the saturation up a lot. And then finally I cropped it...but I wish I didn't cause it looks blurry, to me anyways.

I like the 2nd pic a lot more cause the 1st one was really greyish and the 2nd ones all colorful and stuff! Except I still think its blurry, I dont know if it is though...maybe its just me.

Scale

I took this picture on 11.5.10 at about 5:30 and my camera was on auto. It's a picture of an old lantern in front of my neighbor's house. Ms. Minkel told me I needed to say why it's a scale pic so I will ha ha: this is a scale picture because it's making the lantern look big and the house look small even though the lantern is a lot smaller than the house.
The first thing I did was use the clone stamp tool and the patch tool to remove the crack in the lantern, the paint and the piece of straw. Then I brought up the saturation and changed the Green curves. Then I made a new layer and used the quick select tool to select just the house and brought up the saturation in that area more. And finally, I got rid of the little turtle statue.

I like the edited picture more because the colors are better and the turtle statue was kinda distracting. Then only thing I couldn't change (I tried but it didn't work) was to make the house less blury. I couldn't figure out how to change that.

Cityscape

I took this picture on 11.3.10 at around 6:00 and my camera was on auto. Me and Kara were looking for cityscape pics cause we both needed them so we walked downtown and then SOMEBODY *cough cough* Kara decided to lay in the road and try to take a pic ha ha! :D
At first, I didn't know what to do, so I started by changing the brightness and contrast to make it a bit brighter. Then I changed the curves slightly. Then I brought the saturation up. And finally, I used the burn tool on the sky and the trees.

I like the edited one better cause the first one was kinda colorless and the 2nd one has more color.

Diagonal Rule

I took this picture on 11.3.10 at about 5:30 and my camera was on auto. I was walking around trying to find something for scale and diagonal rule and took a picture of the wheelbarrow just cause.
The first thing I did was use the clone stamp tool to get rid of the letters and stuff that was on the wheelbarrow. Then I used the crop tool a little. Then I changed the curves a little and set the color balance to -15, 0 and +13. Then I hid the background layer and merged all the others together. Then I made a copy of that layer and changed the curves more to make the grass greener and merged the new stuff into one layer. Then I used the eraser tool to get rid of the wheelbarrow in the 2nd layer (it looked wierd and greenish by now) so it was the wheelbarrow from the 1st edited layer. Then finally I used the burn tool on the background trees and the wheel of the wheelbarrow. I hope that made sense...haha.

I like the edited one a lot more cause the colors are better and stuff. Also the writing on the wheelbarrow seemed kinda distracting.

Architecture

I took this picture on 10.16.10 at about 6 o' clock. It was in my aunt and uncle's barn and my camera was set to auto. I think the pic looked better on my camera, it seems a lot darker now.
The first thing I did was use the clone stamp tool to get rid of the hole in the roof. There were a bunch of birds that kept flying in and out of it and I thought I was gonna get pooped on. The next thing I did was to change the curves a little bit to make it brighter. Then I changed the color balance to +9, +13 and +24.

I like the edited one a lot better cause its not as dark and the hole isn't there. But I still like the way it looked on my camera most of all.
