Personalized Card

The first thing I did was find a cartoon picture of the internet of a llama cause I llamas are awesome! Then I used the background eraser tool to get rid of the background in the picture, the grass and the eyes of the llama. Then I right clicked on the layer picture and selected the pixels. Then I went to Image, Define Brush Preset and made it a stamp. Then I made a 4 x 6 card and put a green llama in. Then I added another one but made it blue and used the bracket buttons to shrink it. I made a text box with green text, script MT Bold font and 135 point size. I used free transform to angle it and added some fx to it (bevel and emboss). Then I changed the opacity to 53%. I made another text (this one was for the picture in the text) and made it blue. I picked perpetua tiling MT for the font, made it bold and 170 for the size. I also added a few effects to this one which were drop shadow, bevel and embossa and stroke. I decided to go back on google and find a cartoon baseball. I had some trouble trying to use it cause the picture was 'index' or something so I couldn't edit it. But I used the marquee tool and selected around it then I was able to  make it a stamp with Image, Define Brush Tool and added it to the card as blue. I added another stamp to the card by googling coca cola logo and did the same thing to it-define brush preset and all. But I had to shrink it with the brackets a lot.  Then I went to Google and found a picture of a cross clipart and copied it to my card. I went to layer, create clipping mask and hid it behind the Ricardo. I wasn't sure what else to put behind them so I did the same thing (layer, create clipping mask) with two pictures I also found on google which were a clipart of a snickers bar and a curtain. I arranged them so that the cross was on top, then the curtain and then the snickers bar. The last thing I did was make a new layer and go to select, modify, border and set it to 5 pixels. Then I went to edit, fill and used a green.

The llamas represents me because I love llamas and they're awesome and last year I made a llama statue in art!! The baseball represents me cause I've played baseball for 3 years now and I love baseball. The Coca-Cola represents me because coke is my favorite drink. The cross represents me because I got baptized a few years ago and have committed my soul to Jesus. The curtain represents me because its a stage curtain and I want to work in theater when I gradgitate. And the Snickers represents me because my dog's name is Snickers and I love him a lot! I just used the actual Snickers bar though cause I didn't have any pictures of him and he's named after the candy bar :) I used so much blue and green because I those are my two favorite colors. I like the way some of it turned out but I don't really like the letters with the pictures...maybe it's just the pictures I used or something. Hmm...ALSO I used the name Ricardo cause it's my Spanish name and I like it more than Scott.

Inkspot Flyer!

(If you don't know, Ink Spot is my aunt's store and it's got a bunch of old 60's kind of stuff there. I don't know why but yeah so it's an old fashioned shop like that and they sell antiques / paint stuff / and that kind of stuff)

-Before I could make a flyer I had to get the pics so on Saturday, November 27th I went to my aunt's store and took pictures of a lot of stuff there like the pink panther stuffed animal, the jukebox and lots of cardboard cutouts. But only so many pics would fit on and I wasn't exactly sure which ones to use yet so I just started by color correcting them:
-The first thing I did was take the picture of the pink panther and edited it with curves and saturartion, then I set the color balance to -37, 10 and 38.
-I changed the jukebox picture next and brought the saturation up to 30. After that I messed around with the curves. But I wanted the lights on it to be more colorful so I made a selection around them and brought the saturation up even more on them.
-I started editing the clown picture (which is not clipart, Barbara!!) by changing the curves and brought the saturation up to 31 and lightness to -5. I made a selection around his origionally blue suit and changed the hue to 54 on Hue / Saturation. It gave him a purple and yellowish suit! :D Then I started on making the actual flyer.
-I wasn't sure how I was gonna arrange the pictures so I started making a flyer (8.5 x 11) and would figure out where to put everything later. I went on google and found the background pic, I used free transform and edited the curves and saturation to make it the way it is.
-I made a selection around the pink panther and copied it onto the background. I refined the edge by setting it to: radius- 2.5, contrast- 5, smooth- 50, feather- .8, and expand- -26.
-I went on google and found a pic of the inspector from the Pink Panther. There was some trouble trying to get this pic to work, idk why but it for some reason wouldn't let me do anything in Photoshop, but in the end it worked. I used free transform to make him bigger.
-Then, I made a selection around the jukebox and the clown and dragged it onto the background.
-I used different transform tools to change the jukebox, inspector and panther to not only different sizes but flip them because I thought they would look better that way. But the panther clock was messed up so I used for transform tools to flip it.
-I used the magic wand and paint tools to fix the clowns hair (because the edges were messed up and stuff and stuff)
-Then I went back to google and found more clipart of the Inkspot logo and selected and dragged it onto the background. I refined the edge by setting it to: radius- 6.7, contrast- 17, smooth- 90, feather- 1.2 and contrast/expand- 30.
-I used the eraser tool on the inkspot logo edges because it was kind of torn looking even though I refined the edge.
-I tried a blending mode on the clown which was called screen.
-I used the burn tool on the juke box and set its opacity to 88%.
-Then I added a bevel and emboss fx to the jukebox and the clown
-I added a drop shadow and satin fx to the ink spot logo and the panther
-I made a text box for a slogan and did the gradient thing where the color fades across the letters. Later I tried to move it but because I made a new layer to make the gradient letters it wouldn't let me move it.
-Finally I made a new layer and made a border that was set to 38 and filled it in with white.

At first I didn't really like the way my flyer was turning out but now that it's finished I really like it! I edited all the pictures and added the fx and things like that because I just thought it would look better and maybe cooler that way?
